XBOX Showcase – June 2026
The Xbox showcase has just finished and it was certainly entertaining, the main talking point being a return to Exclusivity, let’s jump into a recap of what we just saw.
The Showcase started with Gears Of War E-Day, the concept being that this is the start of the emergence, and shows us the beginning of the Locusts and how Marcus & Dom’s story begins.

Gear Up For Exclusivity
The Showcase started with Gears Of War E-Day, the concept being this is the start of the emergence, and shows us the beginning of the Locusts, and how Marcus & Dom’s story begins.
Let’s be real, this looks fantastic; it looked absolutely gorgeous, the animations in combat were visceral to say the least, and the sound was amazing. As a lover of the original trilogy, seeing everything I loved about that being improved upon made me very excited. We then go to Asha Sharma who announces that this will be a console exclusive; now I’ve seen far too many people saying, “OMG NO PC THEN!!!!” Console means console for Christ’s sake.
This is a huge statement from Xbox; they’re putting their eggs back into the Gears basket and seemingly making it look like this’ll be the flagship title for Xbox going forward.
Playable from October 6th 2026.
For A Brick, He Flew Pretty Good
Now I’m aware my title is from Halo 2, but I need an excuse to use one of my favourite lines from the Halo franchise.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is here, and it looks fantastic. Obviously, we already knew most of the stuff about this one, but it was especially exciting to see the new missions added.
What looks like the start of the game as well, so maybe a few prequel missions to it…
This one is coming to PS5, so Sony players will get to step into the world. From the Pillar Of Autumn, to Halo, sneaking through Truth & Reconciliation, all the way to The Maw. Sony players, be very fucking excited for this one, it’s truly phenomenal. Heads up as well, The Library is still one of the shittest levels in gaming, enjoy!!
Playable from July 21st 2026.

The Hits Keep Coming
With the recent announcement that Fable is now moving into 2027, because everyone is petrified of GTA and rightfully so, we take another look at what will be happening in Albion. We were introduced to our villain, Isabel, played by Hayley Atwell of the Marvel universe. The more we see, the more impressed I am by how this one looks. In-game footage looked great, and they will truly build hype around this one with it being on PS5 as well! Release February 23rd 2027.
State Of Decay 3 is finally coming; now the wait will be until 2027. It looks fun though, I feel like it’ll be a good one to play with friends and the Walking Dead quotes are probably going to be relentless!
Persona 4 Revival is due as well, returning to a very accomplished game & franchise. Persona 6 has been announced as well!! Whilst we saw pretty much nothing (standard) we know it’s on the way and the hype can begin!!
Metro 2039, Senua, Wo Long 2 all got shown as well; the non-stop onslaught of games is overwhelming to be honest. Buying every studio has its perks, doesn’t it!!
We’re seeing expansions to Fallout 76 & ES Online, which to be honest, who the hell cares now?? Microsoft Flight Simulator, on the other hand, is getting a new update, with more and more detail constantly being added.
2 HUGE shoutouts to Spyro!!! & Crazy Taxi. Growing up with Spyro, that announcement really got me, as well, because I got to tell my 10-year-old son, and his excitement reminded me of my love for this hobby as well. The only thing I’m disappointed by is the wait for Crazy Taxi… I feel like that’s one they can just drop in a month, but to say 2027 was a bit “oh”, I don’t really care to make any hype for it; I should’ve just waited until next year to tell us if it’s that far away. It’s not big enough.
Clockwork Revolution was what I thought the end of the showcase was going to be; as soon as it started, I was hyped. I’ve been very excited about this game, and now to see it’s got the 2027 date, and they’re also making it exclusive, that blew me away.
This game looks so damn interesting and fun. InXile have been working on this one for a while now, and I really think this is going to pay off. Steampunk time travel with Fable-like humour & Bioshock like Game play? Inject that into my veins. Will this game sell consoles? Absolutely not, maybe paired with Fable in a bundle, it could bring people in, but this is a start for Xbox, and we’ll see how it goes.

Verdict
Overall this was a solid showing with a bunch of phenomenal games, and guess what? Every single game I’ve mentioned today will be day one with Game Pass.
I get all the people going “BUY GAMES, SAVE STUDIOS”. God damn it people, Microsoft will be giving them a fuck tonne of money anyway. This elitist mentality of gamers bores me and I scoff like a little wanker at anyone who says stuff like that.
Oh yeah, they ended it with COD, meh. I’ll play the campaign, but I’m just completely over online gaming these days. It sucks to get older and not enjoy that side of it anymore.
XBOX Has a bright future by the looks of it, with their huge fucking wallet buying studios, you’ll never be far away from a game coming out that they can slap their name on. A lot of games here look amazing, and fingers crossed the majority of them hit. I know we don’t normally rate this stuff, but I’m giving them a 9/10 for this one; it was stacked when you look at it.
